This is a 12-year-old girl we’re talking about here. A scared little girl molested by a man she thought she could trust, now a young woman being told that this teacher’s advances were her “responsibility” to deflect.
Please, join us in writing the Moraga school district and its legal team to express your horror and disgust at their attack on Kristen Cunnane. If we can bring enough media attention to this story, we can stop this appalling victim-blaming once and for all — but if we don’t speak out, more women and girls will be shamed into silence.

There’s something wrong when you’ve been running as long as Mitt (Romney) has and you’re at 25 percent, and you go don’t much above and you don’t go much below. Seventy-five percent of the other Republicans are telling you something about him.
I ran against him in ’07, ’08. I have never seen a guy – and I’ve run in a lot of elections, supported a lot of people, opposed them – never seen a guy change his positions on so many things, so fast, on a dime. Everything.
He was pro-(healthcare reform) mandate for the whole country. Then he becomes anti-mandate and takes that page out of his book and republishes the book. I can go on and on. I mean, this is a total switch.
Now what will Barack Obama do to that? What Barack Obama will do to that is: ‘This is a man without a core. This is a man without substance. This is a man who will say anything to become president of the United States. I think that is a great vulnerability.

UT Sorority Throws Racist ‘Fiesta Party’
Recent reports of students of color being attacked with bleach-filled balloons at the University of Texas highlight a pattern of racist pranks by students and organizations at this campus.
A UT student blog named #racistATX, documented the annual “Fiesta Party” thrown by two campus sororities at a downtown Austin bar.
Participants, as seen in the video above, dress in stereotypical Mexican wear and openly parade down 6th Street.
As seen in a story by Texas blog Burnt Orange Report, partygoers also came dressed as an “ILLEGAL ALIEN” and a Border Patrol Agent.
A party based on the mocking of Mexican culture is unacceptable and should be condemned by University of Texas.
This is not “just a joke,” much less “honoring of Mexican culture,” it’s blatant racism.
It’s 2012, it’s time to speak up and demand that these sororities be held accountable!
